The artificial, 100 m long glacier tunnel made of 350 tons of ice is a particular visitor magnet. It is also worth visiting the viewing platform in Perlan, which offers a magnificent view of the city of Reykjavík and the surrounding area with the presidential residence of Bessastaðir, the small islands in Faxaflói Bay and even the Snæfellsjökull glacier on a clear day.
