Perlan Museum | The Wonders of Iceland
Über die Reise
Perlan Museum | The Wonders of Iceland
Experience the modern exhibition in Perlan with 360 degree cinema, ice tunnel and bird cliffs! Immerse yourself in the history of the formation and changes of various landscapes. The exhibition explains on different levels of the “pearl” how volcanoes, earthquakes and plate tectonics work and which creatures feel at home above ground and under water in the cold climes of Iceland. The artificial, 100 m long glacier tunnel made of 350 tons of ice is a particular visitor magnet. It is also worth visiting the viewing platform in Perlan, which offers a magnificent view of the city of Reykjavík and the surrounding area with the presidential residence of Bessastaðir, the small islands in Faxaflói Bay and even the Snæfellsjökull glacier on a clear day. You are also welcome to read our experience report!
